Beach Balls Quilt
Well__ That's what I call it! We will use the large Drunkard's Path templates to cut this shape.
This is a great class to master the art of curved piecing. It is not as hard as it looks!

Beginning Nine Patch Quilt
Learn to make a nine patch quilt from start to finish. This three session class covers measuring, rotary cutting, piecing, quilt assembly, borders, machine quilting and binding.

Color Study
Learn the language of color and raise your visual awareness by studying the properties of color. First two sessions we will mix paint in Kay's kitchen for a variety of color scales. Last two sessions are at the shop. We will make fabric selections according to specific color harmonies, which we will then make into duplicate blocks for trade with our classmates. You will not need to bring your machine to class Four 3 hr. sessions.

Embellished Applique
In the embellished appliqué class you will learn a positive/negative appliqué technique which is then enhanced with machine stitching. The technique is fun & easy and may be used for any quilt projects.

Hand Applique
Needleturn applique, a techniques-only class. You’ll learn the basics of the most well known method of hand appliqué and go home with the skills and reference samples of several techniques like smooth curves, skinny stems, and pointy points– ready to try your first project.

Machine Quilting
Learn the basics of both straight-line and free motion quilting. Using the book “Machine Quilting Made Easy”, the class will cover basting, marking, threads, batting and how to manage a large quilt in your machine.
