Basic Sewing Class - Easy Tote Bag

Great class for the Beginner Sewer. This tote bag is quick and easy to sew. We will use the rotary cutter to cut out the pieces. It takes just three fabrics. No pattern needed.

Learn to make a nine patch quilt from start to finish. This three session class covers measuring, rotary cutting, piecing, quilt assembly, borders, machine quilting and binding.

Cascading Colors

Come discover the fun and challenge of piecing together a bargello quilt. Begin the adventure with color selection and end with a beautiful art quilt ready for hanging on a wall or to cover your lap. This class is not recommended for the beginner quilter. Pattern is not included in the fee.

Double Wedding Ring

Learn how to make this timeless beauty. We will have the pieces cut using the templates by Omnigrid. In class, you will construct one ring which can be turned into a pillow, placemat or the start of your quilt. Learn other variations of the double wedding. One 2 Hr Session

Easy Border Quilt

Got a great fabric you don't want to cut up? Use it as a "panel". The piecing in this quilt is in the border. This design also makes a great tablecloth. No seams to rock your dinner glass!

Easy Hexagon Quilt

DescriptionI used a jelly roll to create this quilt, however you can use 2 !/2" strips of stash fabric, We will use a 60 degree triangle ruler to cut our triangles. We will also discuss variations on setting the hexagon's. Good class for beginners new to 60 degree work.

Hand Applique

Needleturn applique, a techniques-only class. You’ll learn the basics of the most well known method of hand appliqué and go home with the skills and reference samples of several techniques like smooth curves, skinny stems, and pointy points– ready to try your first project.

Kid's Class - Sewing Basics - Learn how to use your machine and sew a pillowcase

The first class begins with sewing machine basics. Bring the basic sewing supplies you have on hand and please print out the Basic Pillowcase Pattern from this website: http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/millionpillowcases/freepatterns/BasicPillowcase.pdf and bring with you. Please familiarize yourself with your machine before coming to class. We will break for fabric selection in the store and finish with instructions for prewashing your fabric before the second session. We will sew the pair of pillowcases in our second session.

Kid's Tote Bag

Learn the basics of Tote Bag construction, including lining and interfacing. If you need to rent a machine, please let us know when you call in. The pattern is included in the price of the class. This is a two session class.

Lissy's Flowers

Lissy’s Flowers is a nice spring quilt. Raw edge flowers are the eye catchers and they are sewn by machine. We have kits available at the store or you can pick up the pattern and kit it yourself. You must be familiar with your machine and rotary cutting techniques.
